Sweeton boasts stunning living rooms furnished with a blend of contemporary and antique furniture, including bespoke English made pieces, making for an original and eclectic interior. First rate facilities are provided to make your stay as hassle free as possible including the latest technology to enable guests to keep in contact with the outside world. Leisure facilities include a stunning indoor swimming pool with accompanying steam room and spa bath, games room with a full sized snooker table, and a library of over 2000 books. Adjacent to the main house is a converted barn available as a business centre with an office and conference facilities for corporate visitors.
Despite its remote location and unrivalled peace and privacy, Sweeton is a mere three hours from London either by car or train, so you can leave your family relaxing in good hands whilst continuing with any necessary work commitments. The business centre with guest computers, the internet phone system whereby most calls can be made free of charge, and the wifi operating throughout the house allow you to keep in contact with the office from the depths of Dartmoor.
Sweeton can be booked in two separate halves, the Upper House or the Lower House, or for larger parties the door at the end of the Lower House library can be opened to connect both halves to make a comfortable and spacious whole. When booked together the Upper and Lower halves work together to make a generous house, with a dining table large enough to seat 20 guests with ease and plenty of places to search out some peace and quiet when the need arises.
Upper Sweeton has two large ensuite bedrooms, one of which has the benefit of a sofa bed if needed. Upper Sweeton has a very large kitchen, dining and living area along with a generous library and offers an extremely spacious home.
Lower Sweeton is the older part of the house, dating back to the fifteenth century. It has four bedrooms (three ensuite, one with its own bathroom shared with the nursery) and two childrens bedrooms. It has a lovely combined kitchen and dining room with an Aga speading warmth thoughout the heart of the house. The living room features an ancient granite fireplace that one can stand up in.
Sweeton Manor can be booked with a variety of housekeeping options to make your stay comfortable and effortless. Whether you want to experience the myriad of moorland activities available nearby, use the business centre for brainstorming with colleagues, or simply relax with a book by an open fire, Sweeton Manor provides the perfect getaway, allowing you to unwind from the moment you enter the grounds.
Whatever your requirements, Sweeton is the ultimate destination for a private family celebration or holiday with friends.
