Webburn

The original master bedroom of Sweeton Manor, the Webburn exudes old world charm. Ancient wooden beams and beautiful furniture make this room a delightful experience. It boasts a private dressing room with a theatrical dressing table by local craftsman Richard Code and a large and well equipped en suite bathroom.

It is approached via its own private spiral staircase from the ground floor, the oldest staircase in the house and a noted feature in local granite from around the fifteenth century.

The bedroom is typical of a Devon longhouse, characterised by original exposed beams and lime plastered granite walls, and complemented by an imposing aged oak super king sized bed.

For those with children there is a door that leads to the connecting corridor. Just off of this there is the Children's Room (right next door to Webburn) and beyond that the next bedroom, the Yealm. The Children's Room has a single bed with a pull out additional mattress, allowing it to accommodate two children and the bed in the Yealm may be converted into two single beds if desired.

All bedrooms at Sweeton Manor are equipped with beds that have a high quality mattress with a firm characteristic, crisp Egyptian cotton sheets, and deep down feather bedding. Non feather bedding and pillows are also available – please let us know in advance if this is your preference.

Each bedroom has its own bathroom, with plentiful towels and a pair of dressing gowns. Toiletries are by l'Occitane .

Each room has an LCD television with Freesat channels. Music is supplied by a bedside Squeezebox internet radio that has access to thousands of high quality radio stations worldwide along with Sweeton Manor's own collection of 1,300 CD's. An iPod may be connected to these radios if you prefer to bring your own music collection with you.

There is a safe in each room for personal valuables, along with a hair dryer and facilities for making tea and coffee if you do not wish to go down to the kitchen. An ironing board and iron is available for guests use, stored in the lower hallway cupboard.

There is WiFi internet access throughout Sweeton Manor and each bedroom is equipped with a telephone connected to the central exchange for the Manor, from which both external calls and calls from room to room may be made.
